Shigeyuki Nishikawa moved from Kochi to Kyoto with his wife, Toyo, and began board lamination processing for shikishi
(decorative square paper).
1960
Masaru Nishikawa established Nishikawa Paper Works.

Enabling Mass Production: Combining Handcrafting with Machinery

1968
Introduced a laminating machine to automate the bonding of washi (Japanese paper) and core paper.
1970
Introduced an edge-wrapping machine for shikishi.
1975
Incorporated as Nishikawa Paper Industry Co., Ltd., with Masaru Nishikawa appointed as Representative Director.
1980
Constructed new headquarters.
